No. Our scooters are retro models with a 1960s-inspired look, hence "Vespa-style". Vespa® is a registered trademark of Piaggio & C. S.p.A., with which MatMonScoot has no affiliation. You get the Dolce Vita look at a gentler price.
A French AM licence or a car licence (category B) is enough. People born before 1 January 1988 may ride a 50cc without a licence in France. Bring a valid ID. If you hold a non-EU licence, message us before booking.
You need a motorcycle licence (A1, A2 or A), or a French car licence held for 2+ years with the 7-hour training. Foreign licence rules vary: please check with us before booking.
Two approved helmets, gloves, a heavy-duty lock, third-party liability insurance and 7/7 assistance. Every scooter is serviced and cleaned before each rental.
Delivery is free within Nice. We agree on a time at your hotel, Airbnb or a meeting point (nearby towns on request). We do the check-in on the spot, hand over helmets and gear, and off you go. Return is at the same place or elsewhere by agreement.
A card pre-authorisation (not charged) of €800 for a 50cc and €1,000 for a 125cc, released when the scooter is returned in its original condition.
